Cinematography for Rolling Stone’s 'The First Time' featuring Brandi Carlile. This editorial shoot required an intimate, shaped look achieved through a minimal footprint. To avoid the flat aesthetic of the natural environment, I worked to control the ambient light—specifically flagging out an open doorway that would have washed out the subject—to create a more intentional and directional frame. By balancing supplemental fixtures with the existing light, I was able to maintain the editorial standard of the series while working within a condensed one-day schedule.
